🎉 The big one: a brand new look, transparent emoji, and background colours.
- A brand new look: 🎨 The whole site has been rebuilt from the ground up. Upload, crop and colour controls now sit side by side, so you can see your emoji change while you tweak it — no more scrolling back and forth.
- Transparent backgrounds: 👻 Every emoji — all 16 animated and 8 still — now keeps the transparency of your photo instead of landing on a white square. Together with Remove Background, your emoji finally sits properly on any chat theme, light or dark. (The one exception is 🔥 fire, whose flames fill the whole frame by design.)
- Background colours: 🎯 New in step 01 — pick the background your emoji is built on: transparent, white, Slack dark, Discord, Twitch purple, yellow, red or green. Handy when you know exactly which app the emoji is going into.
- Better looking animations: ✨ Animated emoji are built with a new encoder that shares one colour palette across every frame, so colours no longer shimmer between frames, and edges stay clean instead of turning muddy.
- Smarter default crop: ✂️ The crop square now starts around the head instead of covering the whole photo, so a snapshot taken from the waist up is actually readable at 128×128. Drag it wherever you like, as always.
